The property owners of this detached garage space, spurred by the recent coronavirus pandemic, approached MMKM to develop its existing first floor storage space into a usable office for home working. MMKM set to work proposing a new contemporary two-storey extension to the existing garage space which complimented the existing property, and provides access up to the new first floor level. Raising the ridge beam and roof structure helps to turn the existing storage space into a usable office area. A new balcony area alongside the new stair links the new work space to the mature garden planting and trees through a large pentagon shaped picture window. A real oasis for quiet work and reflection.
